Prevention of Manufactured Traumatism
The Company’s goals for reducing occupational injuries include:
- Improvement of labor protection conditions, both in the Company and in contracting organizations, and, as a result, reduction of the level of industrial injuries and occupational morbidity;
- Reducing the risk of accidents, incidents, fires and emergency situations in the facilities of the Contract territory.
To prevent injuries, risk assessment is conducted on a regular basis in compliance with ISO 45001:2018 standards, management actions are made, labor protection strategies are put into place, and employees of the company as well as staff of contractors are routinely updated on the status of injuries.
In Case of Incidents
- Operational notification of all incidents that occurred in the Company's facilities, including those involving employees of contracting organizations;
- Data registration in the information system;
- Conduction of investigations, analysis of circumstances and causes of accidents;
- Development of measures aimed at preventing emergency situations and injuries.
All staff members are given access to the trauma analysis results, which are also deliberated over during high-level management meetings and the Safety Days program, which is attended by trade union and major contractor representatives. The annual report and board of directors meetings both take into consideration the findings of the accident study, including those that occurred in contracting businesses.
In the areas of industrial safety, labor protection, civil defense, and emergencies, the identification of hazards, evaluation of risks, and application of management measures for the elimination of hazards and minimization of risks are carried out in compliance with the corporate standards of OSMS (Occupational Safety Management System).
Evaluation of these procedures’ efficacy is done within the framework of internal audits and checks, which are done in compliance with “OSMS,” supply of production control, as well as inside the parameters of the QHSE Department’s yearly reports on the status of Labor Protection, Industrial Safety, Civil Defense, and Emergencies for the “KUSTO Group.”
Informing and Protecting Our Workforce
Procedures for informing workers about potential risks and hazardous circumstances associated with the work process are governed by Republic of Kazakhstan legislation as well as Kmg Petrochem oil Refinery, LLP normative acts.
