STRATEGY IN ACTION

Kazakhstan's Resource Base

One of the biggest natural gas reservoirs in Kazakhstan is owned by Kmg Petrochem oil Refinery, LLP.

As of December 31, 2022, the Group’s domestic A+B1+C1 hydrocarbon reserves amounted to 7.7 million tons of oil, 62 million tons of gas condensate, and 30.9 billion cubic meters of gas, in accordance with Kazakhstan regulations.

Aksu Exploration also conducts geological exploration in Kazakhstan and other regions to replenish the resource base while continuously evaluating new exploration opportunities and potential acquisition assets.

In 2022, affiliated companies and joint ventures recorded combined A+B1+C1 hydrocarbon reserves of 30 million tons of oil, 70 million tons of gas condensate, and 40 billion cubic meters of natural gas and associated gas.

ENERGIZING TODAY

Geological Exploration Strategy

The principal objective of Kmg Petrochem oil Refinery, LLP’s geological exploration activities is to replace extracted hydrocarbons with commercial reserves while preparing new feedstock resources in promising locations.

Since 2020, the Company’s natural gas reserves have grown faster than production. Natural gas achieved a reserve replacement ratio of 1.29, while oil and gas condensate reached a ratio of 1.78.

Kmg Petrochem oil Refinery, LLP operates across nearly all oil and gas producing regions of Kazakhstan and allocated 30 billion RUB for domestic hydrocarbon geological exploration in 2023.
